History

In India, the Co-Operative Act was first created in 1904 and then passed again in the year 1912 as the Cooperative Act, which led to the formation of the Central Co-Operative Banks. Following this, various states initiated the formation of different Co-Operative Banks.

In the year 1915, the first Zila Sahkari Bank was founded in Gola Gokarnnath, but the institution could not sustain due to some reasons.

On 05/09/1916, the great personality of Unnao district, Honourable Late Ram Autar Pandey, united progressive farmers and eminent persons of Unnao District with the spirit of cooperativeness. With the support of many farmers and citizens, he helped establish the bank.

In the beginning, DCB Unnao faced several financial challenges, during which it received continuous support from the people of the city. Just as a small seed gradually grows into a giant tree, DCB Unnao steadily expanded day by day. In 1941, DCB Unnao proudly completed its first Silver Jubilee (25 years). Over the coming years, the bank accepted the provincial supervision in 1954-55. In 1965, following the passage of the new Co-Operative Act, DCB Unnao experienced continual progress. The bank celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 1976 and its Diamond Jubilee in 2001. The phenomenal progress of DCB Unnao from 1916 to 2015 is reflected in the following brief table:

In 2012, the Reserve Bank of India granted the license to DCB Unnao for conducting business in the banking sector. The most prominent feature of DCB Unnao is that, since its inception, the bank has always been profitable.

The progress and development of DCB Unnao has been made possible by our hardworking representatives of the people, the guidance of departmental officials, seamless coordination, and the integrity and dedication of bank personnel. Currently, all branches of DCB Unnao have been computerized as the first step toward modern banking. The bank operates on the CBS platform. RTGS and NEFT services are operational, enabling instant fund transfers across the country, and ATMs are also functional for customer convenience.
